CLIENT: Poetic Justice

Oklahoma incarcerates more women than any other state in the United States. The majority of incarcerated females are sentenced for non-violent drug related crimes due to the conservative policies within the state. "Grey Matter" follows Poetic Justice, a nonprofit that hosts creative writing classes inside multiple jails and prisons across Oklahoma. Due to limited programs and resources, individuals struggling with mental illness and addiction aren't able to heal from their past scars. Poetic Justice uses restorative writing workshops to help women find a voice, hope, and power to change.
